Calorie Clinic membership is available to adults age 18 and older in the state of California. We are in the process of expanding care to reach patients in other US states soon.

Yes. We provide physician-led care that includes weight management, metabolic health, and common primary care needs through telehealth.

We navigate insurance on your behalf and are able to work with the vast majority of insurances to get the care you need. For patients with commercial insurance, medication co-pays are typically $25 per month but depending on the plan may be higher. At this time, Medicare only covers certain GLP-1 medications for patients with diabetes.
Labs are also typically covered by insurance though there may be a co-pay. For patients without insurance, we offer labs for a flat-rate of $45, requiring you to go to a Quest or Labcorp location for lab draw.

Calorie Clinic providers will see patients with or without health insurance. For patients whose insurance does not cover the cost of medications, we will work with you to navigate other effective lower cost options. We do not prescribe compounded medications at this time. We have also partnered with LabCorp and Quest to offer a comprehensive lab-panel for a flat-rate of $45 without insurance.

Typically, patients started on GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy can lose up to 15% of their weight. With Mounjaro and Zepbound, weight loss can be as much as 20%. Note that results are not guaranteed and may vary. Ultimately, your weight loss journey is a personal one and involves more than an all-size-fits-all prescription, and your Calorie Clinic team will be by your side to help you achieve your best results

Typically, we find that patients taking GLP-1 agonists such as Ozempic and Wegovy will lose 10% of weight by 6 months and 15% within 1 year. Results will vary by patient, intervention, and medication prescribed (if appropriate). We find that patients benefit from at least a 12 month comprehensive weight-loss program to establish the proper habits to sustain long-term weight loss.

If you are not a good candidate for GLP-1 agonists, our providers will offer different modalities of weight loss for you, including alternative medications, lifestyle modification, continuous glucose monitoring, and other tools.

Recent labs are strongly recommended (but not required) prior to initiation of most weight loss medications. We will either order labs for you or accept labs completed within 6 months prior to program enrollment. Labs are typically covered by insurance though there may be a co-pay. For patients without insurance, we offer labs for a flat-rate of $45, requiring you to go to a Labcorp or Quest location for lab draw.
